TVXQ On The Brink Of Selling A Million Albums In Japan For 2010


The possibility of TVXQ selling one million Japanese albums in just three months is getting bigger and bigger.

According to the Oricon Chart, Japanese most prestigious and accurate albums sales data site, TVXQ's Japanese best album 'Best Selection 2010' sold a total of 459,796 copies in February. TVXQ ranked first on the daily, weekly and monthly Oricon charts with this album.

Before that, TVXQ's 29th Japanese single 'Break out', which was released on January 27th, sold 255,917 copies in just four days and rakned first on the Oricon monthly chart for January. This single sold 29, 239 copies in February as well on ranked 16th on the Oricon monthly chart for February. This means that till February, TVXQ's 'Break Out' sold a total of 285,156 copies.

Therefore, this means that TVXQ's latest album and single have sold a total of 744,952 copies (~end of February). TVXQ is planning on releasing their 30th single '時ヲ止メテ (Please Stop Time)' on the 24th of this month; the single includes U-Know Yunho's solo 'Checkmate'.

If TVXQ's new single records similar sales with 'Break Out', TVXQ will sell over a million Japanese albums/singles in three months with just two singles and one album.

Many are curious as to see till where the power of TVXQ will go in Japan, where they have established themselves as top singers in five years since their debut there.
